This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (thevaluenetwork.org) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. The Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together follows:

  • Identity Data: Includes first name, last name, job title, and company name.
  • Contact Data: Includes the email address you submit via our forms.

  • Usage Data: Includes information about how you use our website, products, and services.

3. How We Collect Your Data

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including through:

  • Direct Interactions: You may give us your Identity and Contact Data by filling in a form on this site or by corresponding with us by email. The exploration form on our connect page is submitted to our own servers. The newsletter sign-up on our journal is submitted to HubSpot. This includes personal data you provide when you apply to join the network or request investment information.
  • Automated Technologies: As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies and similar technologies.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Processors

Our website uses third-party services that may set cookies or process data on our behalf:

  • Clerk: We use Clerk for accounts and sign-in. Clerk loads on every page of this site, including this one, and sets cookies necessary to establish and maintain a session. These are strictly necessary and are set whether or not you hold an account.
  • Sentry: We use Sentry for error monitoring. When something breaks in your browser, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry that includes your IP address, browser and the page you were on.
  • HubSpot: We use HubSpot for our newsletter list. If you subscribe on our journal, the email address you enter is sent to HubSpot and stored against a contact record there. We do not load HubSpot’s tracking script, so it does not follow you around this site.
  • Resend: When you submit the exploration form, Resend delivers the resulting notification email to us. The details you entered are in that email.
  • SurrealDB: Exploration submissions and network records are stored in our database. It is our own store, not a third-party service acting on its own behalf.
  • Sanity.io: We use Sanity to store and serve the writing on our journal. While browsing that content, standard internet log information may be processed to deliver it to your device.

Typefaces are self-hosted. They are downloaded when we build the site and served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact a font provider.

5. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.

We are based in the United States. If you are accessing our website from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
